Yes, all week long tours are guided. Some retreat weeks include days with JMGA-certified guides, depending on availability and conditions. All Blanco Escape retreats are designed as resort-focused experiences, and guide's vary by trip type.

How do I get to Myoko from Tokyo?

The easiest route is the Shinkansen from Tokyo to Myoko Kogen via Joetsu-Myoko Station — about 2.5 to 3 hours total. We send all guests a detailed travel guide after booking.

What's the cancellation policy?

We understand plans change. Cancellations made 60+ days before your retreat date receive a full refund minus a $250 admin fee. Cancellations 30–59 days out receive a 50% refund. Within 30 days, we're unable to offer refunds, but you can transfer your spot to someone else. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers trip cancellation.

What kind of food is served?

Daily western style breakfasts, three chef dinners (think wagyu steak, seasonal Niigata vegetables, and natural wine pairings), plus nights out exploring the best izakayas and ramen shops in town. We can accommodate dietary restrictions with advance notice.
